A tale of two cities -- Warsaw and Krakow.
Not many pics this time though as these two are well covered under "Photographs" -- "Poland 1" and "Poland 2 ".

More pics of Warsaw under "Photographs" -- "Poland" from previous visits so I`ll just use this one for odd bits & pieces that were different/unseen previously.
Warsaw is a lovely venue for weddings. This one was different because the bridesmaids had wings and unusually long legs !

We rate the restaurants in Poland as the best in the world. You could eat at a different one every night for a year in both Warsaw and Krakow and still not have covered them all. They are so beautiful and full of individual character :-

The waitors are friendly, the food is excellent and the prices still very low. We enjoyed a magnificent 3 course dinner (main course -wild boar) , including two rounds of drinks and the whole bill was a mere 90 Zlotys ( 20 quid for two).

There are so many beautiful parks and green areas in Warsaw and we were pleasantly surprised to see such an abundance of red squirrels there :-

Re: Ken`s JUNE postcard.

Polish beer is very good but the food is even better. One of my favourites is this Polish goulash in a hollowed out bread laof :-

---and before the meal you`ll be served a complimentary starter. A spread comprised of various fats, finely chopped meats and herbs :-

Not too far from Krakow is the lovely little town of Neopolomice, where they`ve restored the old castle:-

--- and where wild bison roam in the vast nearby forest and where we went with horses and carriage to "bison hunt" (shooting with camera only of course !)

Another interesting scene is on the banks of the Vistula where there are several permanant table chess boards, well utilised by the local men :-

Re: Ken`s JUNE postcard.

Ken-In view of the low cost, high quality and abundance of good food in Poland may we know the difference in your weight before and after your trip? I think we should be told!
The price of food in Britain must be a shock for all the thousands of Poles who have chosen to live in the UK ?
