Was the Gala early this year, Ken?
We've been to the last two and had it in mind that it was in late July.
What a shame, it's a good day out.

The easiest way to remember it is that they always have the gala on the first Sunday in July.

Is it?! The old mind is clearly not what it was!
I've added it to my Outlook calendar for next year.
Cheers.

I should have posted this next one first. When I first looked out the bedroom window & up the road , I saw what I thought was a large vehicle well on fire. I dashed off for my camera & then realised it was a "performing fire-engine". Not only did it periodically belch huge flames up in the air , it kept on doing "wheelies" in the road !  :-Image

I like that one Ken. AND its topical. I see that each float is done by a different school. Nice to see schools in that area putting the kids to something like that.
